Shine Bright Like a Diamond Shield ✨
Response:
Dan,
Interesting that you asked this question one day after I cleaned and waxed the front of our 2019 Allegro Bus. We use her for visiting dealers and have over over 55 thousand miles on her, that’s a lot of bugs! As you can see in my photos the Diamond Sheld is holding up well considering the miles. Dimond Shield is a soft plastic that helps prevent rock chips from damaging your painted surface. I suppose the idea is that replacing the plastic is cheaper than repainting the front of your coach. When used properly our products will not harm the plastic. Waxing the front of your coach with Wade Wax before a big trip will really help bugs not stick or bake into the front of your coach especially when it’s a hot surface. This is because Wade Wax is loaded with nonstick PTFE!
When traveling, when we stop for the evening, I always immediately debug the front of the coach. First, I get the front of the coach wet and spray on Bug & Animal remover. I spread it around with a wash brush, let it dwell (not dry) and then rinse. I prefer to do this during sunset or sunrise when the surface is as cool as possible, so the product has time to dwell without the sun and heat drying it.
Thanks for the question.
Good luck and safe travels!
Wade
Hello Wade,
Question:
Just purchased your products and getting ready to use them.
Wanted to make sure they are ok to use on Diamond Shield. Searched the blog and could not find any blogs mentioning that.
We have a 2020 Tiffin Allegro Bus, first time with the diamond shield stuff and I will have to replace it because I could never get all the bugs off! Looking forward to using your bug and other products to make this whole process a bit easier.
Warm Regards,
Dan
